Behavioral Health & ABA Therapy

Seeing the whole child. Building skills that matter.
Behavioral Health Services
We believe every child deserves to be understood, supported, and celebrated for who they are. Children deserve both acceptance for who they are today and support to build skills that help them thrive in the world around them.
We recognize neurological differences—such as autism, ADHD, and learning differences—as natural variations in how children experience and interact with the world. At the same time, we also know that children may face real challenges with communication, regulation, learning, or daily functioning that deserve thoughtful, evidence-informed support.
Our services support children from early childhood through adolescence and are designed to complement medical, educational, and community-based care.

Comprehensive Developmental & Behavioral Evaluations
Ages 12 months - 18 years
A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation typically involves a team of Aspire professionals. This may include a psychologist, behavior analyst, occupational therapist, speech-language pathologist, or other professionals. Together, the team will review and integrate the findings from their evaluations to determine whether the child meets the diagnostic criteria for autism spectrum disorder.
This comprehensive approach will provide an accurate and nuanced understanding of the child's strengths and needs, and will inform individualized treatment planning.
Parents will receive a compiled report with complete evaluation findings and recommendations in a follow-up consultation with member(s) the team.
What makes our evaluations different:
- Comprehensive, multidisciplinary, across multiple developmental domains
- Clear, practical recommendations
- Collaborative feedback sessions with time for discussion and planning next steps
Specific evaluations are available for:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Dyslexia and other learning differences
- Developmental delays
- Social, emotional, and behavioral concerns
Here’s what you can expect during a comprehensive autism evaluation at Aspire:
Initial meeting with parents/caregivers (90 minutes)
Psychological testing (2-3 hours)
Speech, language, fine motor, and sensory assessment (2 hours)
Gross motor screening (15 minutes)

You might interact with the following specialists:
Behavior Analyst: The BCBA will conduct standardized testing to evaluate the child's social interaction, communication, play, and repetitive/restricted behaviors in a structured, activity-based setting.
Occupational Therapist: The OT will assess the child's sensory processing, motor skills, and adaptive behaviors. They will also evaluate the child's ability to perform daily living tasks - such as dressing and eating - and provide recommendations for improving functional skills.
Speech-Language Pathologist: The SLP will assess the child's communication skills including language development, speech sound production, social communication, and also evaluate the child's ability to understand and use nonverbal communication such as gestures and facial expressions.
Psychologist: The clinical psychologist will review all test results, review the child's developmental history and may assess for other conditions.

Aspire’s approach to behavioral therapy (Applied Behavioral Analysis) is individualized and focused on skills and relationships within a caring environment - adaptable in its adjusting intensity and focus (from communication to independence) to meet the evolving needs of the individual across all ages. This therapy supports functional communication, emotional regulation, daily living skills, confidence, and independence.
Through play, routines, and real-world activities, ABA focuses on improving communication, social interaction, independence, and emotional regulation - skills that help your child participate more fully at home, school, and in the community. For early childhood ages, we use an approach informed by Early Start Denver Model (ESDM).
Therapy is highly individualized, meeting your child where they are and building on their strengths, interests, and motivations to create lasting progress.
Services may be provided in-home or in-clinic - depending on family needs and professional recommendations - with active caregiver involvement encouraged.

My son and I have been treated excellently. They explained everything to me and made sure we had an understanding of what was going on.

This was the third neuropsychological evaluation we’ve been through in about 4 years. Aspire’s evaluator was VERY thorough, took many factors into consideration, and worked with a team of professionals to complete the evaluation. During one of the appointments, I talked to several staff in the waiting room. I felt warmth and care from all of them even though they don’t know me or my child. Overall, I felt respected and understood during this evaluation process and that is essential during a time that can be extremely sensitive for parents.
