Private School Services

Student Screenings • Therapy Services • Consultation and Training

In a private or religious school it can be challenging to provide all the services children may need. Recognizing that personnel and budget constraints may be common obstacles to overcome, Aspire Therapy is committed to partnering with our community's private and religious schools to best meet the needs of each learner and provide support for teachers and staff.

Aspire can help with students having difficulty following directions; participating in large group activities; interacting with peers; expressing wants, needs, and thoughts; being understood by others; transitioning between activities; grasping pencils/crayons; writing clearly; participating in movement or coordination activities, and more.

 Student Screenings

A no-cost screening is often the first step to determine if additional evaluation is recommended for a child and/or if additional ideas and strategies can be provided to the school team to help support the child’s academic success. Two screening options are available:

  • Screening Day - Aspire works with your school to set dates and times that Aspire therapists come to your school and screen students that teachers and/or parents feel may benefit from one or more of our services.

  • As Needed - Aspire therapists come to your school on an "as needed" basis, particularly if there are not many students to be screened.

Therapy Services

Aspire's licensed speech-language, occupational, and physical therapists are available to provide direct services to students within your school. Aspire supports children in preschool through 12th grade by providing evaluations and individual therapy services during the school day in the school environment. A number of options exist:

  • Special Needs Scholarship Program (SNSP) - Aspire contracts with schools that have students in the SNSP program to provide direct services to these students who typically have or obtain an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) within their home school district.

  • Direct to Family - Aspire works directly with families to pay for services through private health insurance or private pay.

Consultations and Training

Aspire also supports teachers and staff through consultations and training opportunities. Whether in a small group consultation, or a 1- to 2-hour staff training session, Aspire's speech-language, occupational, and physical therapists can tailor their information and expertise to your school's needs and situation.

The working relationship between Westside Christian Preschool and Aspire has been fantastic. Your staff is caring and compassionate, and the students whom I send to them enjoy their sessions and have blossomed. I also am grateful for the guidance I receive, and tips for things to try in the classroom, so that we are all partnering together to benefit the children."
